ScanMySubs is a Chrome extension that helps you find subscription-related emails in your Gmail inbox. We designed it to be privacy-first.

What data we process

• We analyze the visible list of messages in Gmail (sender and subject line) to detect subscription providers.
• Preferences you set (e.g. muted providers) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.

What data we do not collect

• We do not send your Gmail data to any server.
• We do not collect, store, or sell personal information.
• We do not access your full email bodies, attachments, or contacts.

Permissions

• The extension only runs on mail.google.com.
• Local storage is used only for saving your preferences.

Data retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing stored on our servers. All preferences remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the extension.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the product evolves. We will update the effective date above and publish changes here.
